The St.Vincent's Port Authority Sports and Cultural Club was established on October 16th, 1992. Club membership currently stands at about 40. The club has been able to achieve one of its main objectives  - that of fostering good relationships among its club members and the belief is held that such clubs are vital to organisations to cater to the social needs of workers.

The new Executive recognizing our membership in the club, is  committed to a programme of promoting within the community and among our members, the principles of human rights, dignity, self sufficiency, self respect, responsible leadership, accountability and of aiding in preserving the cultural heritage of our members. 






2010, September 30th



Annual General Meeting Held.



The St.Vincent and the Grenadines Port Authority Sports and Cultural Organisation at its Annual General Meeting held on September 30, 2010, elected a new executive for the year 2010/2011.

Alain Weekes was re-elected President, unopposed. The new Vice-President is Samantha Bailey, Secretary Joselle Jack, Kimalla Cambridge will serve as Treasurer and Valcia Thomas is the new Public Relations Officer.

The organisation also announced plans for the celebration of its 17th Anniversary. A week of activities began on October 17, 2010 with a church service at the Trinity Apostolic Church in Questelles, followed by a visit to the Thompson Home and a luncheon at the Cruise Ship Terminal and Ferry Berth.

On Wednesday, October 20th, the club will host an open day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Administrative Building of the SVG Port Authority's Compound - where customers can get their blood pressure and sugar levels tested. A discussion on Chronic Diseases will be held in the Training Room of the Port Authority;s Administrative Building at 7 pm, Harvey Farrell will be the Facilitator.

On Thursday, October 21st, the club will engage in a competitive sports evening at the Victoria Park at 6 pm.

On Saturday, October 23rd, the club will host an after-work lime at the Harbour Bar in the Ferry Terminal Building from 1 pm.

On Sunday, October 24th, members of the club will journey to Black Point for a picnic and day of fun.

A creole evening and Karaoke will be held on Friday, October 29th, at the canteen on the main compound of the Port Authority.

On Saturday 30th, the 17th Anniversary celebrations will climax with an Oldie Goldie Dance at the Octagon, from 8 pm.
