PRIVATE SECTOR ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT (VIDEO CONFERENCE)
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (GOSVG) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) –United Kingdom Caribbean Partnership Fund in an amount equivalent to USD 142.6mn towards the cost of the Port Modernisation Project – Saint. Vincent and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under contracts procured under this project.
Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOSVG and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement. The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GOSVG shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.
The project will procure Design-Build Contracting services for the main cargo port terminal, which also includes the relocation of an existing sewer line and road improvement.
Eligible Contractors are invited to participate in a Private Sector Engagement Conference scheduled for Friday January 17, 2020, at 10:00Hrs Saint Vincent and the Grenadines local time. Firms responding by RSVP to the email address below, will received an embedded link by which they can join the Conference call. The conference will feature a power point presentation outlining project components and details of the contract, and the related procurement process. It will also include a Questions & Answers session.
It is anticipated that the Invitation for Pre-qualification document will be issued in January 2020, after the aforementioned Private Sector Engagement Conference
